Last year Jordan inquired about booking an adventure session while we were in Joshua Tree National Park. After she booked her session with us, her now husband, Josh, reached out to us to let us know he was going to propose during their adventure session. Travis and I were super stoked, and starting planning how he was going to go about proposing.

The day of their adventure session in Joshua Tree National Park, we met up with them for lunch to get to know them. At one point during our lunch, Jordan conveniently stepped away for a minute, and we had some time to discuss the proposal plan. Josh was going to let us know in secret code which spot he felt was the perfect time to propose.

Later that evening, we met up with them and cruised around the park. We danced, laughed and ran around Joshua Tree National Park. The last 15 minutes of their session, Josh got down on one knee and proposed to Jordan. Everything about the location and timing was perfect! After their session, we went out for food and beers and chatted about their wedding plans. Yes, they already knew they wanted to elope in Joshua Tree! A few months later, they called Travis and I asking if we would join them in Joshua Tree in March of 2019, and photograph their elopement! Of course we said yes.

Check out their Joshua Tree National Park proposal story, here!

Not only were we fortunate enough to document their beautiful elopement, we were also hired to help plan their dream elopement day. Because of how heavily involved in the planning process, Jordan and Josh hired us to take on the tasks of designing and co-planning their day. Jordan and I created design mood boards and found pieces for their day that reflected their style. Josh and Travis designed their ceremony arbor, which was a hexagon with beautiful elements. We loved helping out Jordan and Josh so much, we decided to make design and planning an additional service to our new business model! (More information coming soon!) Jordan and Josh treated us like family, inviting us to stay with them at the cutest AirBnB in Joshua Tree. We joined them for lunch and dinners, we were even invited to a private sound bath at The Integratron! (I highly recommend checking this place out!)

March 15th, 2019 was a perfect day to get married. Blue skies, and a less windier day than most of the days we spent in Yucca Valley. The morning of, two private chefs came to the house and put together a delicious brunch for us. These two very talented chefs, would later being making the most delicious dinner for us.

Jordan spent the afternoon getting her hair and makeup done in her and Josh’s honeymoon suite, while Josh got ready in the lower house of the AirBnB property. One of my favorite things about elopements, is that you have more time to do whatever you want in the morning and afternoon. You don’t have to spend hours getting ready. Jordan and Josh spent some time together before parting ways to get ready. They also had some alone time, which I think can be essential to having a stress-free and relaxing day!

Jordan and Josh opted for a first look before their ceremony. We found the perfect little spot with views of the mountains and Joshua Trees in the yard of the AirBnB. Their first look was filled with happy tears and lots of hugs.

Jordan and I spent months designing boards for each part of their day, including their reception. She had a specific idea for their dining table. We created tablescapes, and found pieces that reflected their style. Who says you can’t DIY on a budget and make it look beautiful!

Jordan and Josh found the perfect spot at The Hi Desert Ranch to exchange vows. In front of a beautiful floral hexagon arbor, in a field of Joshua Trees, Jordan and Josh said ‘I do’. Their closest family and friends witnessed these two become a forever team, and it was beautiful. After their ceremony, they popped some bubbly, toasting to the new Mr. and Mrs. Cross!

Joshua Tree National Park is where they got engaged, so they wanted to incorporate it into their day. We adventured into the park for sunset with the coolest videographer team, Jay and Mack Films. (Highly recommend these super cool dudes!) We danced and laughed through their entire adventure elopement session in Joshua Tree National Park!

Jordan and Josh invited us to join them at their intimate dinner party. An amazing dinner was prepared by two very talented chefs. We ate, drank and heard stories told by their family and friends. I will be forever grateful to have been a part of such an intimate moment in Jordan and Josh’s life. I can’t thank these two enough for allowing Travis and I to witness such an amazing day!

Cheers, Jordan and Josh!
