Weddings & Elopements
Cydney and Ryan live in Colorado, and when it came to choosing to elope with family and friends present, they chose a location that was meaningful to them. Crested Butte is an awesome place to consider for your elopement, especially if you are considering including guests in your planning! It offers beautiful mountain views and a quaint mountain town that anyone will enjoy. Pro Tip: Consider eloping in the Fall to see the golden foliage of the Aspens!
Katie and Quinn planned their dream elopement in Olympic National Park with their closest family and friends present. They started their day off in the Hoh Rainforest, with a first look among the mossy trees. Later in the day, they met their family and friends at Ruby Beach for their ceremony. For sunset, they spent some alone time together at Lake Crescent before heading back to Sequim for a celebratory dinner with everyone they invited to Washington.
Brooke and Cody traveled all the way from Florida to spend a week adventuring around Colorado. They enjoyed the food and drink in Denver, drove through numerous mountain towns, and checked off a bunch of their must see destinations all during their week long road trip in CO. Check out the blog to learn more about how you can elope in Colorado!
Jenna and Myles knew that a traditional wedding wasn’t something that they wanted when they talked about getting married. They loved the idea of adventuring somewhere new, inviting their closest family members, and celebrating the love they had built together over the years. They chose the Oregon coast for its incredible scenery, and its well known moody vibe.
This past year was our best year yet! We photographed elopements in California, Oregon, Washington, and Colorado. On top of these elopements, we also photographed weddings, surprise proposals, engagement sessions and even a couple of family adventure sessions! We drove all over the country, and we got engaged in one of our favorite places, Maine. This has been our favorite year of work and play, and we can’t wait for you to see what we have in store for 2023! Check out the blog to see the photos from 2022. You don’t want to miss these!
Mary and Shane had been back and forth on the idea of having an elopement as they are very close with their families and friends. After getting engaged in Grand Teton National Park, they had the itch to experience a similar adventure for their wedding day. Having planned a typical summer camping trip to Yosemite this year, they invited us to join them, but with a twist. They were planning to elope!
Jenna and Brian planned their dream elopement day among the Redwood Trees just south of the Bay Area in California. A remote, beautiful venue hosted their closest family and friends for a day of celebrating their love story. And that was just Day 1. On Day 2, they adventured further south into Big Sur for a mini-moon and portraits along the Pacific Coast!
Eloping in Colorado in October may be a risk, but it comes with epic rewards. October is the beginning of the snow season in Colorado’s peaks, especially when you get to 12,000 and higher. Some of our favorite spots in Colorado will be at peak foliage, the Aspen trees showing off their golden leaves. Oftentimes there can be an overall of autumn and winter, and while you may arrive in CO to sun and warm temperatures, don’t count out the reality that you could wake up to a fresh coating of snow!
Breeze and Trent didn’t want a big, fancy wedding. But they did want their family and friends from all over the country to have the opportunity to celebrate with them. Breeze’s family owns a home nestled in the hills overlooking the San Juan mountain range just outside of Ridgway, CO. She grew up visiting this land, and it holds a special place in her family's story. We are so grateful Breeze and Trent chose us to capture their DIY elopement on the land.
Sarah and Noah’s Garden of the Gods elopement was one of the most emotional weddings we attended this year. There was something special about their love that found its way within the entire group present. Close friends and family gathered at a mountain house overlooking Colorado Springs, where they all shared a roof and worked together to help make Sarah and Noah’s dream elopement come to life. It was beautiful, and it was epic.
We wanted to take the time to thank all of you for your support. 2021 was a wild year, with Elopements in some of our favorite locations. Colorado, California, and Maine are just three of the beautiful states we had the pleasure of photographing elopements in this past year. We are grateful to be able to explore this country with our couples and capture their love stories. 2022 is looking to be our best year yet!

In June of 2019, I said “see you later” to my best friend. It’s been an emotional grieving rollercoaster. Losing her was one of the hardest things I have ever experienced. I knew spending time dwelling on the pain was something that she wouldn’t want me to do, so I found positive light through all of the heartaches. The name love, Lorraine is a true reflection of who I am and a tribute to the woman who helped shape me into the person I am today. Read more about the story behind Love, Lorraine!
Randi and Patrick reached out to us last year about eloping in Colorado. Their dream was to get married in Rocky Mountain National Park. Lucky for them, there was a cancellation at Sprague Lake in October of 2022.
